The Story Behind WEDOS

Wedo’s Tacos creates a fusion of Mexican inspired food that incorporates fresh, locally sourced ingredients from across Monterey County. It all started when co-founders, Cal Leidig and Christopher Tringali, conceptualized a simple late night taco spot out on Alvarado Street to serve patrons ending their night in the downtown bar scene. From there it has now expanded into a full service catering company providing full course and after hour bites for special events across the Central Coast.

Both having experience in the food and service industry, the two best friends came together to pursue a passion of theirs; to start their own business. With the generous support from their family and friends, the two are making huge strides expanding their business and providing best possible dining experience.

Whether you’re hosting a large event with hundreds of guests or a small intimate get together , the Wedo’s Tacos team can provide best in service for your next special event.

If you are looking to hire Wedo’s Tacos for a party, here are the details:
  • Depending on party size, we typically arrive 2 hours before the food service is scheduled to allow time for setup.
  • Once setup is taken care of, we begin prepping the food to be cooked, NOTE: ALL MEATS ARE COOKED ON SIGHT.
  • We dish and serve food for 2 hours unless requested otherwise.*Additional time can be added for an additional cost just be sure to let the person you book the party with know.*
  • Once the service is over, all left overs will be packed up in to-go containers and left with you to enjoy.

The Team

Childhood best friends Cal Leidig and Chris Tringali have partnered together to create Wedo’s Tacos. Having family ties in the restaurant industry that go back 30 years, Cal leads all menu creation as head chef. Chris having a background in supplying seafood to the Central Coast through his family owned business, Monterey Fish Co., leads all operational and marketing aspects of the business.
